Shari Hills works from her garden studio in South East Cornwall. Her watercolour paintings are inspired by nature and sometimes involve the addition of handmade papers collaged onto the paper surface to create texture or the use of inks or crayons to develop depth and atmosphere.
Shari teaches regular watercolour classes and workshops in Saltash, Cornwall, Plymouth and Horrabridge, Devon as well as residential painting breaks at Dillington House in Somerset. She also demonstrates and leads workshops for art groups and societies, a professional associate of the Society for All Artists and a member of the Drawn to the Valley group of artists.
Currently you can see more of her work at the ISCA Gallery in Budleigh Salterton, Devon and at Bridge Gallery, Barletts, Harrow Barrow, Cornwall PL17 8BP, at The Terrace in Tavistock and at Cardinalls at Hatt, Cornwall.
This year Shari will be leading a painting holiday at Sennen Cove from the 1st to the 5th June 2013. During the course we will be sketching and painting in the immediate countryside of Sennen and Lands End, as well as visiting some stunning villages and places of interest such as; Mousehole, St Michaels Mount, St Ives and the stunning remains of the Levant mine to capture the essence of this amazing Cornish landscape.
A private pick up/drop off service is available at pre-arranged times to/ from Penzance for those using public transport.
A full residential package of luxury accommodation, catering (breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine) and private minibus transport to the off-site painting sites is on offer from just £400pp.
